Well, he can be saying this things from outside the door to. He's fairly obtrusive and obnoxious when he wants to be. Again, we'll see how it goes on Sunday but if we need to drop my post for the sake of the story I really don't mind.

We'll resolve it in game on Sunday. Probably stealth checks from Grindell vs. passive perceptions from Teirryn and Palo, and then maybe a strength check if you want to bust in the door with someone leaning on it.

As far as the violin goes, it isn't technically magical (meaning, per game mechanics, it hasn't been enchanted, so it wouldn't be giving off magical signature). I do think, though, that Grindel's passive arcana may be able to pick up some subtle change in Palo, if his entire nature has turned to something similar. It would be akin to our magic users' getting sick and noticing something wrong with the field of magic around the corrupted node-stone.
